CHRISTOPH SCHREINER
An insatiably curious devotee of life-long learning, Christoph has transformed a thirty-year career as a professional sportsman into a new mission: coaching others to live their own excellence.
Having captained the Graz Giants American Football team and proudly represented Austria from 1991 to 2012, including playing for his nation at the 2011 World Championships, Christoph turned his sports scientist`s eye and elite athlete`s dedication to leading the Graz Giants in business too, spending a decade as CEO. More recently, Christoph has been acquiring the tools – he is a Master Practitioner in Neurolinguistic Programming, an emTrace Mastercoach, and a Mimic Resonance Profiler and Trainer – to inspire others to follow their dreams and turn their visions into reality.
As well as challenging adventures like climbing Mt Kilimanjaro and exploring warrior archetypes, what inspires Christoph? “To share laughter and tears, talks and hugs, the sunrise and the sunset, the loud as well as the silent moments, with a tribe of people that trust me to lead them into the desert, and into the great adventure that is a life lived with passion. I want to show people that there is so much more out there, possibilities, adventures, love, laughter, joy, and that if we take responsibility for ourselves, life has so many wonderful surprises in store.”
It is the night sky that calls Christoph back to the desert time and time again. “Looking up into a sky full of stars is one of the most mesmerizing experiences of my life and I can`t wait to share this experience with you.”
He counts among his crazier ventures swimming the English Channel, climbing Mt Kilimanjaro, an 850km walk across Spain, and long-distance solo bicycle tours through such of the earth`s wilder places as Canada`s Rocky Mountains and the Westfjords of northwestern Iceland.
Why is Ben thrilled to be returning to the Sinai?
“The deserts of Morocco, Australia, Namibia, and Egypt have gifted me some of the most exquisite and sacred moments of my life, whether plunging into the waters of an unexpected desert oasis, falling asleep under skies ablaze with shooting stars, or being subsumed into the great silence that surrounds. I am thrilled by the chance to accompany others into the Sinai, a space and place that has meant so much to me on my own journey.”
BEN McGUIRE
Ben`s great passion is unlocking human potential. “I love asking the questions and holding space to help people find their true north and become the best versions of themselves they can possibly be.”
He is a lawyer and entrepreneur who invests in and advises the boards of innovative and life-changing companies; an author of non-fiction and fiction books who revels in the wonders of story; a filmmaker who blends words and pictures to help us understand ourselves and confront and resolve trauma; a live-storyteller who performs and teaches across Europe; a photographer who gently accompanies his subjects in rediscovering their inner goddess and god, mostly underwater; and a former elite athlete who uses endurance events and adventure travel as rituals of growth and contemplation.

Dagmar describes her ongoing trips to the Sinai as both a form of pilgrimage and a sacred homecoming. “In this special journey – inwards and outwards – you will immerse yourself in an enchanting landscape and connect with pure nature, simplicity, and silence. In the desert we meet ourselves at our deepest and broadest, experiencing community with a lot of joy, laughter, and lightness. The desert greets you where you are and will delight and surprise you. You will come back richly blessed.”
THE BEDOUINS
We are guided throughout our journey by a team of Bedouins who have lived in the Sinai desert their whole lives and know intimately its wondrous ways. These playful and gentle souls – lead by court jester Faizal, Papa Sliman and two of his seven sons, Ayed and Hussain – navigate and guide our travels, set up and take down our camps, prepare all our meals, take care of the camels, sing and dance and play, and join us by the campfire at night. With great patience, tenderness, and humour, our Bedouin team will help us make their home our home.
